picture building and employees SHELVING SYSTEMS, INC. is a family-owned and operated business, beginning in Matthews, with 2,500 sq. ft. of warehouse space and only 2 employees. Within a year, another 2,000 sq. ft. was obtained in an adjacent building, and 3 more employees were hired. In 1987, SHELVING SYSTEMS, INC. moved to a larger site on E. Independence Blvd., consolidating their offices and warehouse space under one roof. Through the years, SHELVING SYSTEMS, INC. has established a reputation of integrity and reliability by meeting their customers' expectations on a regular basis.

By the time the I-485 Belt road came through Matthews, SHELVING SYSTEMS, INC. relocated their company to Pineville, building a 10,000 sq.ft. building. With many repeat clients experiencing growth pains, SHELVING SYSTEMS, INC. began to buy back their clients' select inventory in order for the client to upgrade to larger capacity rack or rack with the new seismic specifications. This buying back of long-time customers' rack and shelving enabled SHELVING SYSTEMS, INC. to have a quality inventory of pre-owned material for the smaller entrepreneur.

Today SHELVING SYSTEMS, INC. owns two adjacent buildings in Southland Industrial Park, with 20,000 sq.ft. of office and warehouse over several acres. This location offers convenient access to the Interstate system of highways, and provides more rapid deliveries to their customers. With a long-time staff of experienced employees, they are able to continue to offer a dedicated and committed solution to their clients' storage problems.
